Wine tasting on high

We love tasting wine. Whether that be in a sunny vineyard in the Languedoc, at some pretty fabulous chalets across the Alps or at our ‘mega-tastings’ in Morzine and Chamonix, we can’t get enough. So when Adam boldly announced his plans to pack up some vino, glasses and head up into the mountains for a tasting, we were intrigued. (Amanda, having been given the role of navigator, was terrified). A few logistical hiccups later, Adam and Amanda were off, armed with plenty of great wine, a map and some amazingly trusting clients from the O’Sullivans group in Meribel.

After a touch of snow, an impromptu beer tasting on a boulder and a slightly hair raising drive, the intrepid explorers arrived at Adam’s destination of choice, Le Refuge des Lacs Merlet, at a casual 2417m. Possibly the highest wine tasting in the Alps yet? Amazingly they’ve all lived to tell the tale, and Adam is off planning his next Alpine Adventure…

Meanwhile, look out for some fabulous LVG wine across Meribel this winter season. Fancy your own tasting? Check out where we’re popping up in the lead up to Christmas here.
