Chemin des Pins Marsanne Viognier 2020
Something a bit different from the more familiar Sauvignon and Chardonnay styles that have dominated people’s tastes for decades.
IGP Pays d’Oc
What we say
Viognier is one of those grapes that really does taste like the fruit descriptors we see on restaurant menus. It has really clear aromas and flavours of peach and apricot, often with hints of spice alongside. Marsanne also tends to show fruity flavours, though closer to pears and apples. The combination works well. It works as an apero (to enjoy all that fruitiness), or alongside meat and fish dishes especially dishes with a bit of spice.
What they say
Shimmery gold, infatuating aromas of ripe apricots, nutty and buttery notes. The unctuous mouth feel pleases the palate with a full body and a long finish.
