Château Divon Ad Astra 2014
A classic right bank, Merlot-driven mature Bordeaux perfectly embodies the regional style.
Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot
What we say
A smooth, well integrated Right Bank Bordeaux with the benefit of subtle oak giving plenty of mature tobacco and cedar notes. Drinking perfectly now and a delicious pairing for game dishes and rich sauces.
What they say
This 2012 is worth a detour for its crimson hue and its generous bouquet of red-berried fruit and spices, accompanied by roasted notes. The well-integrated, sustained attack gives way to a dense, ample and lingering palate of great freshness, underpinned by elegant and initially chewy tannins which evolve to impart fine length. Will be at its best 3-4 years after vintage.

About the producer Château Divon
The origins of Château Divon date back to 1664. During the time of the monarchy, the property belonged to Château St-Georges, where the king came to receive the dîme (land tax). Owned by the Andrieu family, the estate has been handed down from generation to generation since the 19th century. The small family estate of Château Divon has been owned by the Andrieu family since 1860. It lies 4km north of the village of Saint Emilion at the heart of the smallest appellation in the Libournais wine region, Saint George Saint Emilion, which is made up of a mere 21 growers and just under 180 hectares. Crafted with passion and determination by Damien Andrieu.
