Meet the team: Dom

Where I Come From…

I was born and brought up in Kent and am currently a student at the University of Bath studying French and International Management.

What I Do At LVG…

I am the new LVG Intern for 6 months until March, and am looking forward to seeing everything there is to see in LVG day to day life!

My Background…

I have grown up loving France and speaking French often on family skiing holidays to the Alps, and now studying it at Uni. When the opportunity came up to work in the alps, there was no way that I wasn’t applying!

My goal at LVG…

My aim here is to experience as much of life in a small business as possible and hopefully to help out in any way that I can. Speaking a lot of French is also a very important part of my internship, considering it is part of my University degree to i look forward to that part of it too.

What I Enjoy Most About the Job So Far…

I have particularly enjoyed travelling around the Alps and meeting some of the customers. Becoming part of a really friendly ‘Franglais’ team is also fantastic so I look forward to the coming months with LVG!

What I Get Up to Away from Work…

Skiing is a passion of mine, so I am really looking forward to the winter season so I can be on the slopes every weekend. When it’s not snowing I enjoy playing tennis and golf, as well as playing guitar when I can, although I am  not sure how the neighbours feel about that!

My Perfect Evening…

I enjoy having relaxed evenings with good friends, good food and, of course, good wine!

The Best Wines in The World Are…

There can be no doubt that France has some fantastic wines, although, more recently over the summer, I have been particularly attached to a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand. Having said that, I look forward to trying as many different wines as possible whilst working at LVG and hopefully expand my wine knowledge whenever I can!
